For what it's worth, I think that the water inside the Aura One took longer to evaporate than you expected. The one time I looked at an Aura One that that had been submerged by one of my nephews, we removed the back cover and left it to dry for 24 hours before trying to turn it back on.

I had been reading it in the bath, and there was a moist atmosphere but did manage to avoid dunking it
Nope hasnt been submerged in about a year (when I nearly fell asleep in the bath and dropped it lol!) .....But yeah obviously some water was in it - I guessed the quantity as it was as I went to bed and so wasnt 100% awake but it was in the order of a few ml only....
But about a few months previous to that I did submerge it in fresh water, and it kept working fine. I think this was a slight deterioration of any protective coating. As my wife is using it, I can monitor it but knowing she has a Glo as backup isn't too bad
