Just follow davidfor's directions to enable the toolbar in the viewer. According to your attached image you have 4.7 installed. Quit playing with version 4.4. In the viewer right click in the center of the page. Select
Preferences - Miscellaneous - Check the box to
Show a toolbar with the most useful actions.
