Yup, that's my thoughts too. We were told that in May our entire company is taking pay *cuts* so that we can avoid layoffs for a while. I was resigned to no raise the last few years, but hadn't really expected to have a pay reduction. *sigh* At least I'll still be getting a pay cheque and won't have to say goodbye to any friends for a while longer.
