Custom font support worse in 5.12.3
Before Custom fonts in 5.12.x have caused application errors when using "Send to Kindle" documents but I didn't have any trouble with books from Amazon. Now it appears 5.12.3 is having the same problems with books downloaded from Amazon. (At least I'm having the same problem on my Voyage.) I wanted to see what Learning Python and Python Pocket Reference (both by Mark Lutz) would look like on a Kindle. I normally use the Constantia font, both crashed when trying to load. On my Paperwhite 3 (stuck at 5.12.2 for, I hope, forever) it worked fine with Constantia. On the Kindle 3, using 5.9.7 (where I've "stuck it" forever) it works fine with Constantia. The Kindle Basic 8th generation) crashed the Python Pocket Reference in 5.12.2 as well as 5.12.3 -- so now it's just a mess. Same fix as with the "document" files. Find a book that will open in Constantia (side-loaded books), change the font to one of the standard fonts, exit, open the offending book in Bookerly (or whatever) then you can change to your custom font (after opening the book). This used to work right with custom fonts in all documents... then "Send to Kindle" docs went haywire, now all books from Amazon seem to be going whacko. Weird. A bit frustrating.
