Basically yes, (not testes, some of the steps might be quite hard to complete):

1. Install NiLuJe python: snapshots
2. Install matplotlib (maybe can be done easily with pip?)
3. ssh/create KUAL command to run the script
4. Modify plot colors to use Kindle's eink grayscale
5. Use built-in image viewer/fbink to display the image

Maybe I'll try to implement that during upcoming holidays.
