I'm here to ask about the possibility making an extension that changes how the viewer/reader work.

I'm mainly looking to make a plugin to (access or) update 'calibre_current_page_bookmark' inside epubs every x minutes when the book is open to allow for syncing of the epub file (and sync reading positions)

I have had a look at the source and some commits that relate to the new viewer but I thought to ask before going forward
