Actually, when it comes to non-Latin alphabet support Amazon has a pretty good track record, because Kindles and Kinde apps come with
code2000 as the Unicode fallback font, which covers Unicode 5.2. I.e., you'll rarely have to embed a font to display non-Latin characters.
