It might be a firmware issue, after all. I have another Mini (the one my brother didn't want so he gave it back to me) that's still set at 3.19.x. The Overdrive book won't download to it with a sync either, and the Store bought book that I think originally caused the problem with the other Mini, also reboots this one (titled
No Plot, No Problem). I'm going to go ahead and upgrade it and see if the issues are fixed. This book hasn't caused problems on any other Kobo model, just the Minis.
EDIT: Upgraded the second Mini. The book that was restarting the Mini when I tried to load it works fine now. The Overdrive borrowed book also came in automatically. So it looks like if you want a fully functional Mini now, you'll have to upgrade to something above 3.19.x.
