Jon, the problem is that you asked before anyone* could have possibly known. You asked at a time where the only thing anyone could have said was, "Try it and tell us how it goes". The best @NiLuJe can say is that there are no dependencies in the code on a particular firmware version.
* Except possibly me, but as I don't use this or any of the other hacks or the patches, I have no interest in testing them.
