To each their own. I wouldn't want to go back to my old Kindles. When I compare the screen of my Voyage/Oases/Nook/Kobo to my unlit Kindles from 2011-2012, there is a world of difference. Of course it also depends on where you live. In a sunny climate, in bright daylight, the difference is probably minimal. In a cloudy northern climate with long, dark winters the difference is huge.
