Primitive and slow as it may be, Kobo's web browser does handle the mobile version of the Calibre content server (http://<ip_address>:8080/mobile). I have the server enabled on Calibre startup and running 24/7.

Convenient for those times when you're already in bed and don't want to get up to go to the office/PC/living room to load a book on your device.

I actually have Calibre set up to auto-add books saved to a Dropbox folder so I can browse for stuff via phone or tablet, download and save to Dropbox, and then just use the web browser on Kobo/Kindle to download the new book. Laziness Automation ftw!
