Yes, they are contradictory. When I was very young I watched a bit of The Munsters, a lot of Monty Python's Flying Circus, and then every single episode of The Muppet Show. My siblings and I were into comedy back then. After my sisters left home, life took a turn for the worse and I developed... I think it's referred to as dark humour? Not too dark, but dark enough.

I try to keep my dark humour to myself. Once in a while it comes out, though. TMI win. >.>
