QUOTE: Leebase is correct. Aliens is better than Alien

Well, it's OT, but I saw Aliens as a first-run cinema film, which happened to be showing during school break. The Cinema was full of high school kids making a racket until the first attack of the alien. Dead silence followed by some very nervous noises. I must have been 30 at the time, the movie frightened the bejasus out of me, I can tell you. Specially the tongue with teeth. And the last time I had been frightened by a movie was "It Came from Outer Space" back in the 50s, when I was about 11 or 12. I never thought "Aliens" had the shock quotient of the first movie.

Also saw Star Wars as a first run cinema feature. Loved it. (Oh, and 2001 A Space Odyssey in Cinemascope as a first run, in a big old-style cinema. Loved that, too.)

I can't really be bothered by all the spinoffs of Star Wars; saw the first three, all in real cinemas, and I am happy enough to let the Star Wars universe rest.
