Thanks for the hint! I just configured the memory double-tap to KOReader.
Now I can get rid of File Manager. I set KOReader to run as launcher, and in file mode (not library mode as before). I use single double-click memory button to launch KOReader. I use KOReader's file manager which knows to ignore sdr.
Now I just need a super-light weight button remapper to make long press on NOOK button act as BACK.

I'm using Koreader, and I'm not seeing any sdr folders. I'll check that.
How do you set Koreader to run as a launcher?
Re: back button, I use button saviour. I posted the version number that I use. I couldn't do without it.
