I placed an order for the Oasis 3 yesterday (Thanksgiving) for $174.99 BF sale price and it shipped this afternoon. I saw other ads for it on Amazon and some were showing it out of stock, but I think that was the 32GB model. I bought the 8GB model. Looks like it is a good thing I bought mine early Thursday morning! I just checked and the 8GB model is out of stock too. They went quick.
ETA: My Oasis is listed as
Out for Delivery. I ordered it Thursday and they initially listed it as arriving by 9pm Sunday. Normally a big ticket item like this gets delivered the same day or the following day, but since I ordered on Thanksgiving Day I wouldn't have expected that quick of a delivery, nor would I have expected it to be delivered on BF. I kind of figured it would come today (Saturday) even though they said Sunday. I suspect they were being very conservative on their estimates since some people go ballistic if their order is even one day late. One idiot left a 1-star rating on the Oasis 3 simply because it comes with a Micro USB rather than with a USB C port, even though that is clearly stated and really of little importance on an item that only needs to be charge once every few weeks. Another idiot gave it 1-star rating because the screen wasn't actually 7 inches. Apparently the moron didn't understand that the measurement is taken diagonally across the screen and not vertically or horizontally. And yes, I’ve seen plenty of 1-star ratings on all kinds of products because it shipped a day late or the shipping carrier dinged the box.
So it probably is a good idea for Amazon to err on the side of estimating a longer delivery time than they think it will take.
