IMO the easiest ways to add a file (or files) to a Book are
  1. mouseketeers - drag drop the file(s) into the target book's Book Details Panel
  2. keyboard warriors - select the file(s) in the file browser, copy to clipboard with Ctrl+C, select the target book(s) in the booklist, and paste with Shift+Alt+V. This method allows multiple files to be added to multiple books.
