The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson. Although I'm reading it for a class assignment it's quite good. I never got into this genre before, I tried reading Frankenstein but gave up on it after a few pages. This story is low key and plot moves along nicely due to the psychological drama going on and not so much due to monster stuff happenings.
