When the PW4 first came out, there was talk on mobileread about the washed-out text, but Amazon may have fixed that.
Did you buy this new or secondhand? If it was new, then you are within your rights to return it to the merchant under the Sale of Goods Act. However, this may not apply in your country, although I think most EU countries have a similar law.
