I spent hours yesterday "buying" all these free eBooks from Amazon. I ended up with 144 of them! All were free. I think I have enough reading on history in my collection now!
Has anyone started reading any of these yet? If, so what are your impressions?

Some of the reviews leave me apprehensive that they get a lot of facts wrong, are poorly written, and full of typos.

I know that when someone writes a book for popular consumption, nitpickers swoop in to slam it for not being what it was never meant to be, but I'm wondering whether these are worth bothering with at all.
