Depends on how big of an SSD you need. I find it's usually cheaper installing my own SSD than having it pre-built. Of course, I tend to want 512GB - 4TB and those upgrades usually cost an arm and a leg through manufacturer.
Iirc, saw the Intel QLC 1TB M.2 NVMe for $85 in a BF ad.
I use Macrium Reflect free for cloning drives.
