I am not really sure of the sequence of events that led up to this, but here are the events, anyway.
- While working on my tower, I managed to disconnect the HD that holds my Calibre library. It was only after I turned the computer on that I noticed that drive was missing.
- I reconnected the drive and restarted the computer. I reconnected the SATA drive while the computer was turned on.....not a good idea
- When the computer came back up and I opened Calibre, it showed an empty library.
- I tried to just point Calibre to the library folder using the Wizard (I think this was a mistake.....shouldnt have done that)
- Still, there was nothing listed in Calibre.
The really strange thing is, all of the folders were there for the library....all of the authors, all of the folders underneath.....but they were all completely empty, no files
I am not sure how that happened
Luckily, I had a backup made of all of my books, so I am restoring them as we speak. I dont think that I lost anything, I will just have to go back and clean up a little, I am sure.
