I was watching a YouTube video about Star Trek and I was struck by one picture in the video: They show a group portrait the Star Trek Captains but among them was Ed Mercer from The Orville, which is not Star Trek. I've heard comments that The Orville is actually more true to Star Trek than the recent actual Star Trek series and movies. Could this be true?
