Any Sophisticated Ways to Glean Whole HDD?

What I mean is that if I set Calibre to find books on my E: drive it come up with some 60,000 books.

Which I don't have. Most of those 'books' are little txt files or even tiny pdf files produced by software.

Only thing I can think of to do is to search for a type, like pdf say, and then copy everything over to a temp dir. Then run my eye down the listing and delete everything that seems wrong.

Then tell calibre to take up the remains of the dir.

Then do the next type.

Is there any more sophisticated way of doing this?
