Well, since it sounds like you already own a copy but lack the technical skill to do the conversion from mobi format, you could try to search and see if someone else has managed to convert a version of the MW ALD to, say, Stardict format or another Pyglossary compatible input format, like, say, Mdict, which you could then use with Pyglossary/Penelope instead. No need to reinvent the wheel if someone else has already managed to do the work, so to speak...
