Calibre-web is not calibre and is not created or maintained by Kovid Goyal. It is similar in many ways to calibre's builtin content server web interface.

Using cloud storage with calibre with it's ability to read and write to its database and library folders is not recommended. There are people who are using cloud storage successfully by stopping syncing before running calibre and then restarting syncing on exiting calibre and others who take their chances by running calibre with cloud sync active.

It's not a question of if your library will get corrupted, it's a question of when.
