My indexing was stuck. It was like that for a couple of months, I was almost returning my kindle. So customer support told me to reset the device and have only a few books loaded and that solved the battery issues. So I figured it was something with the software. Loaded all my 13.255 ebooks again and found the tip to delete the "Search Indexes" folder replacing it with a blank TXT file with the same name. That did it, and my device was behaving like it should again. The only drawback is I can't search for text inside a book, but thats fine with me.
