You can NOT make Calibre auto-fix ALL entries.
The QC plugin can quickly discover those that don't conform.
Ctrl-A those results: Fix
FWIW I also require Author initials to be as: A. B. Correct
The QC PI allow a quick adjustment

Note this PI will not discover that your favorite author name appears 6+ other ways. D Weber, David G. Weber, Dave Weber
And sometimes you need to cheat : 2 Authors with the same exact name will require you to force one to be different so they don't mix together upon grouping
