The Scarlet Pimpernel needs no introduction: the ancestor of all the secret-identity heroes from Zorro to Batman and Spiderman-- and who can forget Daffy Duck as "The Scarlet Pumpernickel"?
I was surprised to find so few Orczy books in the Library, so I created this, the first Pimpernel novel, from an excellent HTML file at Gutenberg Australia, along with the decorative cover of the 1905 first edition. I couldn't find a decent first edition dust jacket, unfortunately.
