Download the Kindle upgrade firmware of your choice.

Unpack it with the KindleTool utility.

Open the rootfs.img.gz unpacked from the kindle .bin file. I use 7Zip under Windows.

Browse to rootfs.img.gz\fwo_rootfs.img\usr\java\lib\

Open the fonts.sqsh (squash file system) file and copy the font files in it to a directory of your choice.

Check the font file names match Kobo file naming (fontname-Bold, fontname-BoldItalic, fontname-Italic, fontname-Regular) and copy them into the fonts directory you created in the root of your Kobo's exposed storage.

Please note that the majority of the font files are not redistributable so DIY is your route of choice.
