He originally used copy and paste (should be the same as drag and drop) and then switched to calibre on my recommendation since he was complaining about managing 400 ebooks in his library. It happened with both and, as mentioned earlier, was inconsistent. At lease with a consistent problem, you have a chance at finding the root cause but an erratic problem is a total bear to troubleshoot. He still uses the Nook for some reading since he does love the wide bezels but the Forma is now his go-to device since he moved his library backup in Dropbox into the Forma accessible folder.
