Luxury just means something different and far more exorbitant to me than anything any of these e-readers comes close to.

Certainly luxury means something different for everyone. Personally, I consider high-end electronics luxury items, but I'm sure a millionaire wouldn't. And for many people probably even the cheapest laptop is a luxury item.
