People aren’t likely to make a post “today I put my ereader in my bag without a case and nothing happened to it’ because that’s the expected behavior, a device continuing to not be broken.

Also no one objects to you mentioning a case can be useful. It is your insistence that everyone must adhere to your belief that a case is needed. The simple fact is they aren’t needed. They are optional. If a device was so fragile it required a case it’d likely never make it to market without a redesign.

Try “If you’re going to take your reader out with you, you should consider a case for extra protection. It can help prevent damage to the screen”. The person is then informed and can make up their own mind. If they opt to not go with a case and they break the screen next time they’ll think harder about it.
