The ereader app also "fixes" the CSS to what the ereader author thinks is correct. The difference is that the ereader does not 'permanently' alter the original CSS of a book.
The 'fix' that you apply does not mean that I like your 'fix' in the CSS where you disrespected the original CSS.
If I like the way the ebook is presented with its temporary changes to the original CSS, then it is a good 'fix'. Any changes you make to the original CSS means you also disrespected the published much more as it is 'permanent' rather than allowing the original to be presented by a different reader app.
