I'm old school: I want Library Order. and I use the {author_sort} in the template. YMMV
First get the Quality check Plugin,
then use it to CHECK the various Metadata Sorts (those that will be red in the Calibre MDE) and fix those
Also Note: Kindles use internal metadata (not file name from the device driver), You need the Metadata plugboard (in Preferences), to adjust what gets done)
