I'm with you there.
There's a patch out, but since it's new
it currently only works properly if you leave both header and footer on.
To me, that's too much wasted space, so I leave the chapter info in the header. Don't believe Jon. You don't get used to it. It continues to suck. But at least there's the hope that a proper fix is in the works.
