Or since you dislike the new firmware rollback to the firmware you had, they should all be rather easy to find here, and then use patches to always ask if you want to upgrade which should be an available patch for most of the firmware versions the KA1 will support.
Then you’ll still be able to sync it’ll ask if you want to install an update you say no and you’re good to go.
