Because you may have pulled a fresh Kobo Driver from the default setting.
Open your configuration folder: Note that there are a number of 'device_drivers_xyz' You may now have 2 very similar named ones, one for each model.
OR
your Kobo extended driver had a scope option: to set for ALL or individually:<device listed>

Bottom line: You got to the bottom of the problem
