I haven't posted here in a while. Hubris got me, I think; after a couple of years where I thought I had this licked, I ran off the rails in January and February this year, for no particular reason. Because the books were there, really. Thus my stats were spoiled for the year no matter what.
I did pull myself together for the next seven months, with one month with no purchases, four with two, and two with four. Entirely acceptable. I'm posting now because October saw me backslide, with eight books. At least I don't regret any of them (yet), unlike some of my early-year ones.
It could be worse (it could almost always be worse). My TBR is down, albeit only slightly, at a net reduction of nine. And my mini-spree was nothing like the Kobocalypse days, with a total of 15 books purchased over two months. But I did much better in the last two years. I'd like to wrap up the year at an average of a book a week (this is probably not doable) and under $4 a week (possible, if I can find my hairshirt wherever I discarded itw). Next year shall be better.
