I have the Nova, but not the Pro version. The only difference between the two is that the Pro version has stylus capability.

The light on my Nova is quite even. It's as even as the Oasis I had a while ago, and more even than any Onyx or Boyue device I have had. I also have a Likebook Mars. It's a 7.8 inch device as well. Its light is fairly even, except that I can see some brighter spots near the edges that I do not see on my Nova.
