The same reason that at least one person will insinuate that LCD displays are just bad for everyones eyes, period, because of some unexplained difference in light, and people who still use backlit screens are too stupid to have tried eInk.

There is a relatively small permanent population of the forums, and the same topics come up again and again, so it isn't surprising that the same things get said again and again, both in the reasonable centre and the unreasonable extremes.
