I don't keep all my books on all my kindles. I have had my first in 2008 with the K1 and have had many kindles since. It would take too much time and too much bother to load them all on there. But I do usually have probably 200 or so on it. Not always the same books on all kindles. But they are all synced, which I love, so if I pick a kindle up and it doesn't have that book, all I have to do is click on it and it loads right were I left off on another kindle.
All new purchased and borrowed books go to the newest and most used kindle, which is my Oasis3 now. So that is where they collect, until I get the next device and start doing that on that one. I never go back and sort them out later on older devices, unless I read them. I do delete "read" books from my kindles. But with the new sorting and the READ tag and collections on my kindles, its been much easier to keep up with my books. Compared to how it was way back before there were collections.
I don't worry how many books are on my kindles, there is plenty of space now. I wouldn't mind having all on there, but I am just too lazy to go through that one by one, or 10 by 10 as I can do from the account. It would take too long. My books are in the 1000's.
