Backups (full Libraries) are done in multiple places. One is a clone of the Main (desktop) onto my Laptop (grab and go in case of a California disaster). Then there is the NAS And a USB hard drive
I don't care about syncing. I too read different books on different devices. I've had multiple books on the go many many times. So it's no big deal. It also meas I never have to turn on the WiFi of my H2O.
