"example of serie 12"

instead of "example of serie1"
"example of serie2"
"example of serie 3"

Thanks for telling me the procedure, ascending and descending order does not work
The cleanest way is to use the title/series/series index fields as they're supposed to be used, rather than stuffing the series/number into the title field. Then you can sort on the series, which knows that the series index is a number and properly sorts 1 < 9 < 10.

Using the metadata correctly rather than overloading the title will also allow you to easily search by series (e.g. right-click, Similar Books->Books in this series) and things like that.
  1. Make the title just the title of the book (don't include the series name/number here). This should be just “The Return of the King”, not "The Return of the King — The Lord of the Rings 3".
  2. Use the series field for the name of the series (don't include the number here). For instance, “The Lord of the Rings”. Place the index in the series into the series index (not into the series name): for instance, “3”.
