Am I really the first person who’s experienced the KA1 faceplate peeling off the frame since the double-sticky tape is losing adhesion? I’m not used to so much silence on a topic here.
I haven’t reached out to Kobo because my KA1 is long out of warranty, but I’d like to know if there’s an official solution. If I do reach out, I’ll post what they tell me here. Maybe somebody else can benefit.
As for using Gorilla glue, MGlitch, I’ve been thinking that might only temporarily solve the problem because as the double-sided tape loses its adhesion under the gorilla glue elsewhere, there might be new areas of peeling, light leaking which I can’t fix since the Gorilla glue won’t let me reopen the case. I’m thinking a replacement of the tape is truly the best solution.
