That's what I thought I'd do when I bought the Aura One and kept the Aura 6". Turns out it was a hassle to keep them both stocked with the same books (I only sideload and never sync, because I hate the crap Kobo sends me whenever I sync) and always forgot to load the battery of the Aura 6". I ended up using the One exclusivly and schlepping it everywhere. If I had known this right from the start I would have been able to sell the Aura 6" for more money.
Same thing back in the day with the Sonys. I loved the PRS-650 but used the PRS-350 almost all the time.
I'll stick to having just one reader now. And the backup thing doesn't apply to me. I live in a big city (Berlin, Germany), so I can buy a new reader, well, until midnight every day. There is a really big bookshop open until midnight I need to stay away from.
