Kindle Create can import documents from MS Word but exports only to KPF, a proprietary Amazon format, when you press the "Publish" button. Any changes you made using KC cannot be exported back to your Word document.
One solution is to compare the documents side-by-side and retype the changes you made into your Word document.
Another is to convert the KPF file that KC exports into a Word DOCX file using calibre with the optional KFX Input plugin installed. The result should have all of the text, but formatting and styles will end up different.
