I do a lot of reading on my iPad and use both the Kindle app and Apples Library and they both seem to work fine. In a pinch ill read on my iPhone 7+ but its a bit small for my taste.

I looked into the fire when I wanted a new tablet but decided to stay with Apple as I already had a desktop, laptop and iPhone. and they work so well together.
