Issue with calibre viewer

This is more of a operator issue but... I had a book open in calibre viewer and noticed that a chapter started on the same page as the previous chapter. I opened the epub in Sigil and found the two chapters were in the same file. I split the file, rebuilt the TOC, etc. and saved the epub. I went back to the calibre viewer and hit F5 to refresh. I ended up with a spinning cursor for ~5 minutes before I force closed the viewer. Tried this several times and 1 of the next 5 trials gave the same freeze with the 4 successful attempts giving the "Preparing book for first read" message and continuing after a few seconds.

If I close the viewer before editing and reopen it after the edit/save, no failures in those tests. Probably the best way to handle this task but since calibre's viewer does not seem to open the file in exclusive mode, I had hoped to save a few clicks.

OS is Windows 10 build 19002.1 (191010-1436), calibre version is 4.2 x64.
