The Editors Spell check may help (If your Language is supported). It looks ahead, and offers a joined selection.

It will still be tedious, but it may reduce the mess down to a tolerable level.

BTW even if it does not offer a 'join', it can jump you to a word fagment. Simply double click the word in the spell check LEFT column,and it will jump you to the next place it is found, where you can choose the repair. (repeat or put the fix in the replace box. This will still leave the trailing fragment)
