Thanks JSWolf. I'm using the same email provider I have for 13 years and, except for May earlier this year, never had a problem with sending from Calibre (which I've used for about 4 years). Was resolved in May (more to do with volume than sending) so their tech team does know I use Calibre and emClient as well as their webmail.
I think it's a server thing and whatever tweaks they made then, it sorted everything out and put back to normal again. I'm just hoping they don't just fob me off saying if my webmail is working then Calibre and my emClient app isn't their problem, when clearly all roads point to them if Calibre is using the same SMTP as both of them.
